My WIP progress report for April is right here! Did you all miss me?
No posted works since last time. Boo.
Star Trek: Full Speed Ahead as held most of my attention, though I’ve kind of moved off from “Fever Five” due to a shift in the way the story is progressing for me. I’m kind of putting more word count into the story arc after this one, called “A Piece of Their Action.” It’s supposed to be a follow-up to the TOS episode, “A Piece of The Action.”
Watching TOS episodes as well as some selected TNG episodes that occur around the time that the above-mentioned episode takes place. Otherwise, not much else has been happening in this department.
Travel made up a significant portion of April, with two weeks in the United Kingdom followed by a week in Las Vegas for the wedding of one of my closest friends. That left very little time to write, as I was mostly out and about seeing the sights and enjoying my time in the UK by visiting London during my one weekend off, and in Vegas I was mostly sleeping when I wasn’t working at night. Although Vegas was more suited to my nocturnal nature, as I could go get lunch anyplace I wished since most places are open 24 hours a day.
May has more travel in mind for me, as I will return to the UK for a week beginning on the 12th, to return the following Saturday, and then I’m performing on stage at Fanimecon during Memorial Day weekend. June is my birth month, and I’ll be in Anaheim for a convention and Disneyland with my wife and my friends. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to write sometime in there.
